Mit einer Stimme, die an Chris Martin oder Jeff Buckley erinnert, und nur mit einer Gitarre im Schlepptau, produzierte der Londoner im Jahr 2008 sein Debüt Album „Darkest Light“. Finanziert wurde es von namhaften Fans wie etwa Vasti Bunyan. Erste Tourerfolge im Vorprogramm von Gil-Scot-Heron, Bonobo, Fink, Jamie Woon, Jose Gonzales und Little Dragon folgten, und eine Menge Labels standen auf der Matte des Multitalents. Ninja Tune machte das Rennen und veröffentlichte 2011 das Label-Debüt „There Is“. Die Vorabsingle daraus ist ein Cover von Blacks „Wonderful Life“, das Ihr im Link unten anhören könnt. Auf „There Is“ paaren sich elektronische Einflüsse mit Jonos Vorbildern wie etwa John Coltrane, Nick Drake oder Bill Withers. Seine einfache Komplexität kommt im neuen Album im März 2013 (wieder über Ninja Tunes) erneut zum Ausdruck.
